3-Day Portrait Workshop

Learn techniques for portrait painting!
This class is open to students with some experience
in oil painting and figure drawing. Working from a
live model, students will learn monochome, alla prima, and a value-based approach
to painting the head in oil, mixing flesh-tones and distinctive brushwork.
Class will include lectures and demonstrations by the instructor, instructions on arranging a portrait palette, and individual critiques.
Easels, canvas, oil paints and mediums will be provided. Students must bring bristle brushes.
Location: Bucks County Art Workshops is a beautiful bed & breakfast farm in the heart of Bucks County, PA that hosts art workshops in a generous, state-of-the-art studio. The basic tuition for the workshop is $355, plus a $45 materials fee, and a $65 model fee. Register here.
